A tale of two graphs
Much of the current hysteria over global warming rests on a "hockey stick" graph that shows global temperatures rising to unprecedented levels in the last 20 years. This graph, like much of the evidence used to support theories of man-made climate change, is based on data carefully culled precisely to provide support for such theories. The graph has been thoroughly debunked, as Andrew Bostom lays out here.

An objective appraisal of temperature records produces an entirely different graph, one in which there was a period much warmer than now in the early to mid 1000's, followed by a "mini ice age".

This graph has been largely ignored by a scientific establishment increasingly in thrall to the state. The State (and I refer to all first-world governments, not just our own) desires and pays for "science" that it can use to widen its control over our lives. If men are by nature criminals, by their very exploitation of the earth, then there is no limit to the power that can be exerted over our activities. The very act of breathing emits carbon dioxide.
In 20 years, we will either have written this man-made global warming nonsense off as the next eugenics, or the first world will look a lot more like the third world.
